Woolaball Paintball Site

Environmental Statement

The WoolaBall Paintball site has been designed to minimise the impact and disturbance to wildlife.  95% of all of our battlements have been constructed using natural products.  No plastic pipes, old car tyres or oil drums.

Roughly 50% of our total site area has been set aside as a wildlife habitat and refuge.  We have endeavoured to plant only native shrubs, trees and hedgerows.

Grass cutting in the play area and hedge trimming is kept to a minimum or avoided to prevent unnecessary disturbance to the deer, pheasants, partridges, mammals, birds and insects including moths and butterflies that currently enjoy the safety of our wildlife habitat.  Our prize is our site is regularly visited by a barn owl for hunting.  It is our intention in the future to erect an owl box to hopefully provide a home for owls.

The soil and ground has been left undisturbed, no pipes, drainage or sewerage has been laid.  No concrete poured.

Please help us to protect this natural habitat by staying within the playing area and discarding rubbish in the designated areas.
